what is in a
Cosmopolitan?
Shatbhi : hi kl whitmore.
essentially :
some kind of vodka,
an orange liqueur - usually cointreau,
cranberry juice,
lime juice.
the proportions vary from recipe to recipe, bar to bar. shall give u
some
options and one downright disgusting recipe. u will need to find yr
balance!!
have no clue how this works - disgusting! what's one part anyway??
80 parts Lemon vodka
10 parts cointreau
8 parts cranberry juice
2 parts lime juice
shake with ice and strain into martini glass
3 oz vodka
1 oz cointreau
3 oz cranberry juice
1 oz lime juice
shake with ice and strain into martini glass.
2 oz vodka
1 oz cointreau
1 oz cranberry juice
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz sugar syrup
shake with ice and strain into martini glass.
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz cranberry juice
1/2 oz roses lime juice
shake with ice & strain
11/2 oz lemon/citrus vodka
1/2 oz cointreau
11/2 oz cranberry juice
1/2 oz lime juice
shake with ice and strain.
this one might work well - methinks,
but if you want to make a great Cosmopolitan Martini then try my very
own :
1 oz finlandia cranberry vodka
1 oz absolut citron
stir with lots of ice and strain into a frosted martini glass. garnish
with a lime or orange twist/ slice of starfruit.
or pour in on the rocks!
garnish: try 1/2 a slice of orange over the rim. seems to work well.

thanks for writing in.
well, if u really want to know and understand its flavours, taste the
various flavours, the best way is to pour it into a wine glass (all
purpose) and add a splash of cold water to it. then swirl it around to
release all the layers of aromas and flavours and drink it in. then,
take a small sip, inhaling a wee bit of air along with it. did it taste
much like the nose had hinted?
once u've figured that out, then u decide which way u like it best.
because finally, u need to enjoy the dashed stuff - neat, with soda,
water or on the rocks. i like it best with a splash of cold water.

most importantly - how old r u ? not to be sermonising but to be able to
get the taste values right. and yes, okay - well, hmmm...
have u tried any other alcohol, anything/flavour u didn't like? just
for
starters - am gonna ask u to try a very tall drink with vodka (a small
measure) and a splash of archer's peach schnapps on ice topped with a
splash of lime juice, lemonade and a little soda to cut the sweetness.

Japanese honeydew melon flavored liqueur produced by Suntory. It's been produced
by Suntory in Mexico since 1987. Believe you can also make some decent cocktails
with it. More on that, anon. Enjoy and tell us deprived souls back in India on
how it tastes. Maybe you can be our midori expert. As an aside, Midori Ito is
also the first Asian skater to win a world competition. Midori seems to be a
fairly popular name in Japan.
